THIS IS A VERY EARLY FRAME NUMBER MODEL OF THE 1st YEAR PRODUCTION & THE MODEL THAT IS MOST SOUGHT AFTER WITH THE "GRAFFITI" YZF LOGO - IF IT WAS WHITE/RED THEN WORTH A FEW GRAND MORE BUT SOME PREFER THIS PURPLISH BLUE AS MORE DISCREET & CHEAPER (for now)!Beautifully standard with two exceptions - slightly (but well) cut rear mudguard BUT you canstill buy new ones from Fowlers for £111 & braided hoses BUT I have the original rubber ones to gowith the bike together with the quite rare pillion grab rail, otherwise totally factory standardincluding tool kit (ok some bolts have been replaced if you really want to nit pick!)I BOUGHT THIS BIKE OFF A COLLECTOR WHO I HAVE DEALT WITH BEFORE & HE HAS BUILT UPA LOT OF BIKES, THIS ONE BEING THE LONGEST HE HAD STORED - TOTALLING 9 YEARS!HENCE LAST MOT WAS 2012 AND I KNOW THAT IS GENUINE. I HAVE JUST DONE OIL & FILTERAND BRAKES BUT NOTHING ELSE AS ALL GOOD, I CAN PUT AN MOT ON IF REQUIRED & SHEWILL NEED NEW FORK SEALS AS STARTING TO WEEP WHICH AGAIN I WOULD GET DONE WHEN MOT DONE & WE AGREE A PRICE.The bike has quite a bit of paperwork with it (see photo), lots of old MOT'stax discs & general paperwork & I have just started a service book with stamp in it asdespite all the invoices etc. there is no actual original service book. This is a100% genuine bike with clear HPI report for new owner (4 previous) with lovely quietstrong engine & perfect gearbox.PRICES OF EARLY R1's DID SHOOT UP A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO & HAVE THEN PLATEAUED WHILST THE LIKES OF SP1's/SP2's AND EARLY FIREBLADES ARE NOW WAY MORE MONEY SO I THINK R1's ARE DUE TO RISE AGAIN SOON - RED/WHITE ONES OF THIS YEAR & MILEAGE ARE 9-10K NOW SO GRAB A BLUE ONE WHILST STILL AFFORDABLE!
