Bodywork is amazing, engine sounds like new & it benefits from original HONDA panniers (operated by ignition key), factory heated grips, fancy scott oiler E-System (£250!), hand guards, Averto alarm (currently decommissioned) FULL SERVICE HISTORY with 8 services in the book (last one in September just over 100 miles ago), ONLY 2 OWNERS, 2 keys, owners manual & of course current V5 with clear HPI report for new owner, oh & all old MOT's which is current until September. THIS IS A VERY GENUINE UK LOW MILES, LOW OWNER EXAMPLE, IN FANTASTIC CONDITION, THAT STARTS ON THE BUTTON & RIDES LIKE A DREAM ... AHEM SUPERDREAM! PLUS IT COMES WITH ABOUT £500 WORTH OF SPARES & EXTRAS! The 400's are much rarer than the 250's & consequently have that bit of extra power that most would agree the 250 lacked (and as a result named the "Wetdream") and therefore a more sort after model. Beautiful looking 1981 example in just lovely condition now registered as an historic vehicle (no tax or MOT required) that I had the pleasure to ride today & it was 100% perfect! The previous owner bought it in great order from a dealer, then set about improving it further, he managed to source some new old stock OEM carburettors, new headers, collector box & twin tail pipes (high quality pattern), new tyres & a stack of parts as in last photo!!!! Consequently it also comes with better condition front mudguard, new handlebars, new boxed rear shock absorbers, the original carbs, 2 spare OEM side panels, 2 sets of spare exhausts, top box & carrier rack, LH side engine casing, 4 brand new indicators & a plethora of gaskets, nuts & bolts, oil filter, new boxed battery, etc. etc. In total 4 boxes worth. As you can see from the photos & video it is in stunning condition with everything working perfectly, all the switch gear, instrument cluster are nice & bright & unfaded/worn, uncut mudguard (with uber rare reflector that nearly all have fallen off) and the pièce de résistance - original dealer pressed steel number plate. The frame is as original so has some patina but I think this backs up the low mileage & obviously easy life the old girl has had. One key works all locks & the bike comes with owners manual (no service history I'm sorry) Haynes manual, V5, some usual David Silver invoices & an invoice from Torbay motorcycles last year for £3,091 (and that's before all the bits were done!) Together with all the spares it will make a great bike for the next owner to ride & enjoy for many a year to come, it's a breeze to ride. FOR ME, WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE PRICE OF 70's TRAIL BIKES, 2 STROKES LIKE A FIZZY THAT CAN'T EVEN KEEP UP WITH MODERN TRAFFIC, THEN THIS 4 STROKE GOOD LOOKING, EASY TO RIDE & OWN, WITH ELECTRIC START, RELIABLE HONDA, IS GOOD VALUE RIGHT NOW - IN COMPARISON AT LEAST I am semi-retired & do this as a passion/pension top up - consequently my bikes are competitively priced (I have no overheads) & I believe you will not find better presented examples as I personally detail them PROPERLY with no jet washing or harsh chemicals by using waterless wash & go system & a lot of WD40.

No fewer than 12 stamps in the service book by the SAME supplying Dealer from new & just serviced by JG Motorcycles 2 months ago (no miles done since) & having covered a mere 20,055 miles the engine sounds like new, starts on the button & has blatantly had a very pampered life ... especially for an R1! All the usual tell tale signs of hard use are not there, such as original black rubber on underneath of gear lever (very rare), no marks on the "hero blobs", no marks on the edge of the front fairings, every original fixing/fasteners, bolts in superb condition & still there. Totally original normally means NOT thrashed in my experience as well. Uncut mudguard, all panels still with original datataged stamps on. Lovely condition original exhaust & even has the tool kit! IN MY HUMBLE OPINION THESE EARLY R1's ARE FANTASTIC VALUE RIGHT NOW, STILL AN ABSOLUTE WEAPON, BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT & AN INCREDIBLY GOOD MODERN CLASSIC FOR SUB 4K! (Brushed aluminium tank, OHLINS electronic suspension, proper carbon fibre fairings, etc. etc. INCREDIBLE BIKES) HPI clear, in superb condition with almost new tyres, new chain & fresh clear MOT & I will do oil/filter change for new owner (or offer small discount if you want to do it). All books, keys (including red one), service history, all old MOT's, lots of tasteful extras & the cheapest on the market (BY A GRAND & WITH HALF THE MILES) so NO OFFERS PLEASE! Just landed ... THE ORIGINAL VERY COLLECTIBLE NOW CULT SUPERBIKE that started a revolution 40 years ago! Japanese import back in 1998 & just had a serious refresh by proper enthusiast including £1,000 worth of new old stock MIKUNI flat side carbs, NOS seat, excellent condition original exhaust PLUS valve check, new YSS rear shock, service & thorough going over - VERY VERY NICE EXAMPLE. Comes with original seat, carbs & will be an historic & classic as of 2025. Best nostalgic livery - just read the success story of these slabside bikes. These really were the first proper lightweight superbike that are just beautiful to look at with such race pedigree, hard to find like this now! FINALLY rode it today in 4 degrees celsius (brrr), damp & drizzly & grey ... BUT WOW ... goes like a missile once properly warmed up, very very impressed with its speed, brakes & new rear shock damping, bloody loved it but would love a dry warm day, and that exhaust note is sublime on full chat! Great classic ride for someone.

THESE TRX850's ARE FEW & FAR BETWEEN & GATHERING QUITE A CULT STATUS NOW NEARLY 30 YEARS OLD! QUIRKY LOOKS & A PEACHY PARALLEL TWIN, THEY ARE REGARDED AS AN APPRECIATING FORGOTTEN GEM & A GREAT "ROAD SPORTSTER" & HUGELY STISFYING FOR A MODEST OUTLAY, EASY TO RIDE, ECONOMICAL & OLD SCHOOL! This particular "gem" is a great find with such genuine low mileage & factory original & a great provenance. The original owner sold it to his good friend after 4 years of ownership on the proviso that if he ever sold it then he would get 1st refusal, sadly after 21 years he passed away & so the original owner bought it back. It had hardly been used over his 21 years of ownership so he spent an awful lot of time & money re-commissioning the bike to get it ready to enjoy again. However after a couple of nostalgic rides he decided it was time to sell it on & so here it is ready for the next lucky custodian to enjoy As you can imagine everything is with the bike - 2 original keys, all books, tool kit & original part exchange purchase invoice from Bikerama of Hornsey on 28th Nov 1996, I think every MOT from new & a batch of invoices for all the work recently completed, all in the original dealer wallet.
