There are other GPz900R's out there BUT not like this!  THIS GENUINELY IS ONE FOR A COLLECTOR (AND I KNOW THAT IS AN OVERUSED STATEMENT)

For the "unschooled" - In 1983 Kawasaki pulled the covers off the first bike to bear the Ninja name and began a legacy that continues to this day. The result of a 5 year long top secret R&D project, the GPZ900R was Kawasaki’s successor to the popular Z1. Successor it may have been, but the development Kawasaki had ploughed into the GPZ900R made it a completely different machine.

The technical advances the GPZ900R had over its predecessor and other competition at the time included the world’s first 16-valve liquid-cooled four-cylinder motorcycle engine which, alongside a significant power boost, became a “stressed member”, meaning the engine and chassis worked as a centralised mass unit.

This greatly reduced the weight, improving the handling, acceleration, braking and top speed. Despite not being an original idea, racing teams had been using this practice for some time, Kawasaki were the first to utilise the design on a mass-produced road machine.

The 908cc engine produced 115 bhp which, along with its lower weight, allowed it to reach 151 mph, making it the fastest production bike at the time and first ever to exceed 150 mph.

This particular "Top Gun" example was originally a 1 owner bike from Germany that was given it's "makeover" by the very highly regarded Igor from "Chiemgau Classics" who has to be one of the top men for 80's classics in Europe.  He has only had the paintwork done (superbly) & then properly serviced with new fluids/tyres/header pipes & any bolts/fasteners that needed doing, otherwise it is incredibly original having only covered 22,000 km's or 13,000 miles. He then sold it to the UK owner in 2020 who put it on a pedestal as an ornament & has covered 5 km's since!  Mainly to MOT.  As a collector he has stored it properly & put Aspen4 ethanol free fuel in it so carbs are still perfect & if you see my video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoerKQboEM0&ab_channel=PurpleHelmetMotorbikesit literally starts on the button from stone cold with no choke, no clutch rattle & as smooth & quiet as these engines could ever be.

The virtually unobtainable original black chrome exhausts are in excellent condition as are the wheels & the quirky (un-faded) green brake callipers.

Complete with tool kit & 2 keys I really don't think you will get a better A1 example with such low mileage & in without a doubt the best livery.

These are so under-priced right now, especially with the connection of Top Gun, that I cannot believe you can still get one for sub 10k & for sure, prices are set to shoot up as a very practical classic & for my money stunning looks.  So much bike for the money.
