Only 5 owner UK bike (3 really!) now 40 years old so historical status & thus no MOT or road tax required
The last owner bought it to recommission then did nothing but sit on it for over a year, after the previous owner had done an engine out powder coated frame (good job too) & apparently lots ofwork to the engine but details I do not have. It had new Avon tyres put on it, various other bitslike new chain/sprockets, cables etc. then I got it.I HAVE BEEN SLOWLY WORKING ON IT SINCE FEBRUARY & BECAUSE I LIKE ORIGINALITYI HAVE CLEANED CAREFULLY & RESTORED ALL ORIGINAL FIXINGS, CHROME, ALUMINIUM PARTS TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY - ALL THE ORIGINAL BOLTS, SCREWS ETC, HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND not REPLACED. I THEN PAID MY GURU TO TAKE CARBS OFF & SONIC CLEAN THEM THEN NEW SEALS, O-RINGS ETC. NEW SPARK PLUGS, FRESH OIL & FILTER, BALANCE CARBS (invoice for £381 on file)I have since had all the bodywork panels sent off for a fresh paint job in the original colour& graphics and just flushed/refreshed brake fluids. I have fitted new front brake padsand new petcock & filter (still have perfect original bits).I have taken the bike as far as I want to & she is not in concours condition butvery very good leaving it a lovely usable classic that like most HONDAS willonly continue to rise in value. To point out her minor foibles - there is a very soughtafter period GIULIARI seat on the bike which does have a split on the topbut is easily recovered if bothered, a period 4 into 1 MOTAD exhaust(downpipes are good, end can slightly tarnished), no history apart from me& obviously all my invoices. However all the big/expensive workhas now been completed so if you want to take it to the next stage so be it or ride & enjoy a very handsome classic (and also still very rapid!)
