These CB900's are such a handsome bike & ride as smooth as butter and already these 900's are getting harder & harder to find - especially original UK examples in this condition. The bike has had a LOT of work done by a previous mature owner which included engine out & vapour blasted (not painted) & whilst out the frame was powder coated & top end of the engine given an overhaul including both new cam chains (obvious by new gaskets visible). Apparently on inspection the bottom end was deemed fine. So new oil/filter & tyres then sadly had to sell due to a divorce!Consequently he didn't keep receipts as he didn't plan to sell - unfortunately, however you can blatantly see the works have been done. Whilst not in concours condition it is extremely good & if the new owner wanted to improve it then it wouldn't take much.To be completely candid, the paint has faded slightly in parts & has some minor imperfections & there is the "common" clutch basket rattle (I'm told rubbers dry out), there is one minor ding (shown in video) on original RH silencer & the brakes need a bloody good overhaul (not my skill set) BUT these are all minor things & I am being completely honest about a 42 year old bike that is a great example.I sold this bike exactly 1 year ago to the current owner who was going to fettle it & make it perfect but apart from new spark plugs he has ridden 15 miles & done nothing else to it & decided to pass it on to the next custodian.I HAVE NO HISTORY BUT YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF THE EXCELLENT CONDITION PLUS THE 1st OWNER (ONLY 4 IN TOTAL) HAD IT FOR 31 YEARS WHICH MEANS IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOVED & CHERISHED. IT HAS A CLEAR HPI REPORT, 3 KEYS, SOME NICE BROCHURES, HISTORIC V5 & ONE KEY WORKS ALL LOCKS.Items such as the seat, rear shocks, engine, frame, instrument cluster, clip-ons are all excellent. Uncut rear mudguard & no rust or corrosion. These bikes represent excellent value for money right now - just look at the price of "Super Dreams" & these are a lot more bang for your buck.I am semi-retired & do this as a passion/pension top up - consequently my bikes are competitively priced (I have no overheads) & I believe you will not find better presented examples as I personally detail them PROPERLY with no jet washing or harsh chemicals by using waterless wash & go system & a lot of WD40.
