ONLY 25 were ever made so uber rare & I believe 2 went straight to USA & at least 2 have been written off - SO YOU WOULD HAVE CUSTODY OF A VERY RARE MACHINE INDEED. One owner from new until 2019 when a collector bought it & just put it away in his collection until now. The original owner bought it from STREETBIKE of Halesowen and had it serviced ONLY by them every single year (seven annual stamps in the service book - see photos) & it still has their original dealer number plate & all paperwork in their dealer wallet with owners manual & both original keys & tag. Last serviced in 2018 at 17,253 miles before going into storage & now only done 18,178 & just had a fresh MOT done. Engine (listen to video) sounds like new & whisper quiet as to be expected when properly serviced & cherished, frame, engine casings unmarked & just a few normal minor road stone chips commensurate with mileage to front fairing with NO scrapes, dents, dings or rusty fixings anywhere. The only non standard part is a tail tidy & I don't have original rear mudguard, BUT if you wanted to make 100% factory it would be easy to get a standard K9 rear one for little outlay. For my money & taste ... hands down the best looking bike of its era, twin round headlights, white wheels & a rear end to die for all in the BEST Suzuki livery with matching blue seats LOVE IT! This exquisite example has only covered 21,500 miles in 35 years & boasts all original paint & decals in absolutely great order. Original screen, uncut mudguard & comes with original twin exhausts as well. An unrestored example that has been pulled out of a collection & just had 35 hours worth of loving detailing. All powered by that monster 1100 in line 4 - WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?

THIS IS A VERY GENUINE UK LOW MILES, LOW OWNER EXAMPLE, IN FANTASTIC CONDITION, THAT STARTS ON THE BUTTON & RIDES LIKE A DREAM ... AHEM SUPERDREAM! PLUS IT COMES WITH ABOUT £500 WORTH OF SPARES & EXTRAS! The 400's are much rarer than the 250's & consequently have that bit of extra power that most would agree the 250 lacked (and as a result named the "Wetdream") and therefore a more sort after model. Beautiful looking 1981 example in just lovely condition now registered as an historic vehicle (no tax or MOT required) that I had the pleasure to ride today & it was 100% perfect! The previous owner bought it in great order from a dealer, then set about improving it further, he managed to source some new old stock OEM carburettors, new headers, collector box & twin tail pipes (high quality pattern), new tyres & a stack of parts as in last photo!!!! Consequently it also comes with better condition front mudguard, new handlebars, new boxed rear shock absorbers, the original carbs, 2 spare OEM side panels, 2 sets of spare exhausts, top box & carrier rack, LH side engine casing, 4 brand new indicators & a plethora of gaskets, nuts & bolts, oil filter, new boxed battery, etc. etc. In total 4 boxes worth. As you can see from the photos & video it is in stunning condition with everything working perfectly, all the switch gear, instrument cluster are nice & bright & unfaded/worn, uncut mudguard (with uber rare reflector that nearly all have fallen off) and the pièce de résistance - original dealer pressed steel number plate. The frame is as original so has some patina but I think this backs up the low mileage & obviously easy life the old girl has had. One key works all locks & the bike comes with owners manual (no service history I'm sorry) Haynes manual, V5, some usual David Silver invoices & an invoice from Torbay motorcycles last year for £3,091 (and that's before all the bits were done!) Together with all the spares it will make a great bike for the next owner to ride & enjoy for many a year to come, it's a breeze to ride. All the usual tell tale signs of hard use are not there, such as original black rubber on underneath of gear lever (very rare), no marks on the "hero blobs", no marks on the edge of the front fairings, every original fixing/fasteners, bolts in superb condition & still there. Totally original normally means NOT thrashed in my experience as well. Uncut mudguard, all panels still with original datataged stamps on. Lovely condition original exhaust & even has the tool kit! IN MY HUMBLE OPINION THESE EARLY R1's ARE FANTASTIC VALUE RIGHT NOW, STILL AN ABSOLUTE WEAPON, BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT & AN INCREDIBLY GOOD MODERN CLASSIC FOR SUB 4K! HAVE TO GO UP SHARPLY VERY SOON IF YOU LOOK AT THE PRICE OF FIREBLADES & EARLY GIXXERS Please look at the competition out there with cut mudguards, wrong or scraped exhausts, various rusty bolts, scratches etc. etc. silly coloured bolts & various non-original parts - you simply won't find a better example than this genuine one
