Beautifully restored XT by serial restorer (2nd one I've bought off him & he's trying to get me to buy more from his collection!) that has undergone countless hours of labour, masses of invoices for parts in thick A4 file BUT where possible he tried not to over restore & keep original parts (such as the clocks & rims) however this bike has had some serious money spent, blood sweat & tears & finished off with a "Dream Machine" paint job on the tank.

The tank was refitted as new after respray with no fuel added with new tyres then properly dry stored & to date has not been ridden on the road since completion!  In fact I put fresh fuel in for its 1st time today to start her up (he previously ran her on drip feed direct to carb).  The engine has benefitted from a full top end rebuild and timing chain sprocket and cams and gaskets etc half a rebuild really and as such sounds lovely with no smoke, rattles or untoward sounds.

Originally and American import in Jun '21 Rob then set about his restoration which he duly completed & has given me the A4 file with V5 in his name as 1st owner in UK & correctly registered as an historic vehicle with all the correct paperwork present & the bike is matching frame & engine numbers.  The body of invoices is large & the list of components either OEM where possible or replica or good used is very long! and have been sourced from all over Europe & USA together with all correct decals everywhere (even the shocks) and a nice touch of some original sales brochures as well.

So ... beautifully & lovingly restored classic that you would have to go a long way to improve on at this price point & mileage.  God only knows how many man hours he has spent on it but it is ready for some lucky custodian to either ride & enjoy or stick in the man cave & just admire an iconic piece of 70's motorcycling whilst seeing your asset appreciate steadily.
