The bike has an indicated 3,641 miles (I reckon genuine but can't prove it) in mostly unrestored original condition.I bought this USA import for myself a year ago with the usual good intentions of tidying up & running around on for the summer! As you can see from the photos it has just become an ornament in my den after fettling a few bits & tidying up. I bought a carb repair kit, put some fresh fuel in her, new spark plug & had an auto electrician make sure there was a spark & she fired up on the 2nd kick (no smoke & no rattles)! However there was fuel spilling out of the fuel lines & she quickly died, I did fire up a couple of more times (this was a couple of months ago). I then put her back in my den thinking I'll carry on next spring & use her (as I just wanted to make sure she ran).BUT, I have too many things on the go, need the space, have an FZR1000 Genesis concours restoration landing soon as my den "ornament" so it's time to part with the little orange beauty that EVERYONE comments on when they see it.I have not UK registered it yet but have NOVA confirmation details & letter of age identification from the HONDA OWNERS CLUB classic dating officer with frame & engine numbers only 22 apart & confirming made June 1973.This is a very original (incl. exhaust which are like hens teeth & kick start which notoriously break), clean & tidy bike obviously tax & MOT exempt & a cracking little bike for someone starting a collection that should take minimal effort to be back on the road or a project if you want to restore fully.
These 1st year production models are very thin on the ground & it has lots of rare original parts which make me think the mileage is probably genuine, as is typical of USA toys from the 70's that were hardly ever used. Yes it has age "patina" but a little fettling & you can ride as is, without being too precious about it (which is what I was going to do). Still on 6V system, tank is good & I can confirm all electrics work after auto electrician checked.Think that's all I need to say, not a lot of money for this little gem
